The Data Warehouse Enterprise for Linkage Arizona (DWEL-AZ)

This Statewide data integration program aims at effective and efficient coordination of care solutions and generating data-informed insights.

Fragmented and limited access to data hinders our ability to successfully serve Arizonans in need. DWEL-AZ will allow for an integration of information from various systems of care to truly unlock the power of this data.

Cross organizational efforts to propel data insights

The DWEL-AZ program has partnerships with some of Arizona’s largest homelessness and healthcare data resources to comprise the Statewide data warehouse.  This cross organizational effort is comprised of Arizona’s three HUD-defined Continua of Care (CoCs) and their Homeless Management Information Systems, and AHCCCS

Goals of DWEL-AZ:

DWEL’s goals are designed to create a unified data ecosystem that gathers holistic insights, tailors’ interventions to individual needs, and continuously tracks progress—empowering collaboration and improving outcomes across all systems.

  • Goal One

Create a holistic view of each person’s journey, offer personalized solutions, and track long-term progress across systems for care coordination.

  • Goal Two

Leverage analytics to ensure people have the highest probability of success.

DWEL Arizona empowers people and organizations by exploring valuable understandings of patterns and conclusions from analyzing statewide data, based on real behavior.

Collaboration

DWEL Collaborative participants and a team of university researchers with AzHAC aim to link administrative data from multiple sectors to improve understanding surrounding the occurrence of homelessness in Arizona.

Data

The team seeks to operationalize data by gaining a clearer perspective on the experience of homelessness in Arizona at present. Whilst analyzing questions that represent statewide housing and service priority areas.

Strategy

Ultimately, this information will be made available to interested stakeholders for use in making strategic decisions related to care coordination through targeted interventions, prioritization, and program evaluation.
